Lina Sobhi Abdrabo

Lina Sobhi Abdrabo has a Masters degree in Human Genetics from the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University and has a medical degree from Egypt. She works as a clinical researcher at the Research Institute at McGill University Health Center and has been actively involved in volunteering in healthcare. Lina has unique experiences being a Muslim hijabi medical professional specifically at McGill and in Quebec.

Lina had graduated from medical school in Egypt and was well on her way in her medical career. Life happened and she immigrated to Canada for a better future with her husband. She had to build herself from scratch with zero networks and limited resources.

After a few years she completed her Masters degree in from McGill university. She then started working more in clinical research and is completing her medical licensing exams to apply for residency.

Ever since she moved to Canada she has been extremely involved with volunteering in the healthcare setting and learned tremendously from it.

She wishes to provide a platform back in Egypt for underprivileged students to introduce them to scientific and medical research, one day.
