Jesse converted to Islam in 2014 and has had roles as a Financial Advisor at various large institutions, National Bank Financial and Investors Group. After converting to Islam Jesse began studying Islamic Finance through self-study and began learning how to construct halal portfolios for the Muslim community.

In 2016 he received his first certification in Islamic Finance (Certified Islamic Finance Executive) from the Ethica Institute. From 2016 onwards he made Islamic investing the cornerstone of his Financial Advisory Practice.

In 2019 Jesse left his position at Investors Group to start Canadian Islamic Wealth, the first major financial advisory firm focused on Halal investing. In April 2020 Jesse received his 2nd certification in Islamic Finance from the Ethica Institute (Advanced Certified Islamic Finance Executive) specializing in Financial Analysis.

When not in the office, Jesse spends his time with his family - wife and two sons. For recreation, Jesse participates in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing. Jesse is a big UFC fan and sits on the board of Bilal Masjid in Winnipeg.
